Installation Steps

Four steps to a protected network

Lucien is designed to be plug-and-play. Once the unit is racked and cabled, everything else happens in the administrator console.

  1. 01

    Connect power and network

    ~30 min

    Once the unit is delivered, rack it and connect power. Attach your network cables to the inline interfaces and run a cable to the management port.

  2. 02

    Log in to the console

    ~10 min

    Open a browser and go to lucien.local, or to the IP address assigned to the appliance. Lucien supports DHCP out of the box, or you can assign a static address.

  3. 03

    Create your policies

    ~1 hr

    Upload your organization's certificate so Lucien can inspect TLS traffic, then create or import policies (HIPAA, PCI, PII or custom) and assign them to users or network segments.

  4. 04

    Set up as network gateway

    ~30 min

    Point the network segments you want protected at Lucien as their gateway. Traffic to AI services is now inspected inline; everything else passes through untouched.
